ROLE
Marketing Manager
Former: Brand & Content Marketing Lead
TYDO
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Tydo is an ecommerce analytics startup that provides custom data reports to Shopify brands.
Rachel joined the company at its seed stage in November 2021. She built out Tydo’s content marketing efforts. Rachel wrote editorial content, including 20+ blog posts, and product-focused content (i.e. Tydo’s product guides). Additionally, she repurposed and repackaged Tydo’s content on email and social channels. Her writing skills translated to writing and editing website copy and in-product copy, building out Tydo’s brand voice over time.
Rachel built and hosted Tydo Tables, a series where 10+ ecommerce founders & operators gather around a dinner table to discuss the biggest opportunities, questions, and challenges in their niches. She planned and hosted the first dinner in Austin with food & beverage founders and authored a 16+ page report. She hosted the second dinner in NYC with Gen Z founders & operators and created an extensive report inspired by the conversation.
Together, both reports generated thousands of leads for Tydo and garnered buzz online. Thingtesting, SKU, and ecommerce thought leaders shared the report far and wide.
Rachel also launched Tydo’s comprehensive ecommerce glossary. The project was an effort to break down key ecommerce metrics in a digestible way, providing examples, takeaways, and actionable advice. As a result, search traffic and keywords doubled.
In addition to her content marketing work, Rachel built Tydo’s product marketing function from the ground up, leading multiple GTMs and working cross-functionally with Tydo’s product manager, engineers, CX lead, and others. She positioned Tydo’s products and brought them to life via email, social, content, etc.
On the growth side, Rachel ran email and lifecycle marketing at Tydo. She managed Tydo’s email marketing agency. Together, Tydo and the agency partnered on building product welcome, abandon onboarding, and content lead flows as well as successful campaigns.
Management: Throughout her time at Tydo, Rachel managed an email marketing agency, a web development agency, a content freelancer, and a marketing associate.
